Get Go Games
Get-go Games is a solo exhibition of Friendly Liu, highlighting the child games from Hong Kong in the ’90s. As a Hong Kong artist based in Berlin for over 10 years, Friendly depicts her memories of Hong Kong from her illustrations to graffiti works. In Get-go Games, she combines her interpretations with 10 original games from Hong Kong, to share a collective game memory with audiences overseas. She redesigned these games and invited audiences to be players. By way of her collection to arouse the playfulness within adults, as well as to enjoy the authentic Hong Kong childhood.
The exhibition usually includes Friendly's 1 hour stop-motion animated-film screening – "Hong Kong Cafe Let's Fight Together". and occasionally the film sets and character models will be displayed as well.
Berliner Checkers Battle 2023
In the 3rd edition of the exhibition, Friendly organized the first Berliner Checker Battle for 12 districts in Berlin, here is the game instruction and rules.
